I needed to join a gym to get out of the house (because… 2020) and improve physical fitness. At TFG I was challenged to give it my all and never quit. The coaches are down to earth and really care about your physical safety and health. They push when you need pushing and they encourage when you need that too. All movements are adapted to meet your needs / abilities / limitations. The small group classes were just right for me. I saw personal improvement and results every month. I can call all my gym buddies ‘friends.’ They see you struggle and celebrate your successes with you. It’s a great team to join!

All gyms are different. Trust me when I say this is one you won’t want to miss out on. Spot on coaching (and scaling doesn’t feel like you are less than other athletes), a large open space with plenty of room, great location off Route 4 in Chichester, and athletes who are welcoming to all and turn into such a great support system. If you want to see what you are capable of, step outside of your comfort zone and come give it a try. Many different times for classes, and always a great time. You won’t be sorry.

Absolutely love this place! Always clean and has all the equipment you could ever need in a CrossFit gym! The staff are incredible and all the members make you feel like family! Best CrossFit gym for all levels of fitness and no judgement ever! If you’re looking for a fun workout this is the place!

Although I was nervous because I had never done workouts like this before, I was hooked after just one class. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish! Some days it’s exceeding your goals and some days it’s learning new skills. Every workout you are supported and encouraged by your coach and fellow athletes. This facility is clean with great equipment. I challenge everyone who reads this to try one class, I know you will want to come back for more.

I was a typical child until I was about five years old. At that point, my body decided to go all “eye of the tiger” and jumped into a growth spurt that lasted until my senior year of high school. When I graduated from Pembroke Academy, I was 6’7″ and about 330 pounds. I decided I needed to change, so I started working out at the local Globo Gym.
Over the next several years, my weight yo-yoed from between 300 pounds and 200 pounds. There were times that I genuinely felt healthy and in pretty ok shape, but then I would always balloon back up again. When I graduated from Plymouth State University, I hadn’t made any real progress on my health.
Since my time in college, I’ve basically tried all the gimmicky workout trends. Every trend had its own unique thing to focus on, and they promised that if I could just get great at that thing, then I would be healthy! After a long time of cycling through these trends, I stepped foot in my first Crossfit gym.
That first workout changed my life. I felt like I had never worked out before, and I knew that day that I wouldn’t need to go through any more gimmicky trends. I’ve been getting better every day since.
I really enjoy doing, talking about, and coaching Crossfit. Outside of that, I LOVE dogs :)

“I was introduced to crossfit after my 6th child was born. I was hooked immediately. I loved the challenge and the community. It opened my eyes as to how out of shape and unhealthy I had really become. It was time to start working on my health so I could better care for, and be a good example to my family. And so the journey began, from building muscle, balance, and mobility to better nutrition and sleep. It has been long and hard, but it’s the hard things that make us better. I look forward to pursuing not only fitness, but health and wellness together.”

My journey started one morning roughly six years ago. I was getting ready for work and went down to tie my shoes and by the time I stood up, I was out of breath. I said to myself “I’m not even thirty yet!” The days of eating what I want and getting away with it had far caught up with me. I had lost myself in life and work with no routine or base of nutrition, I stood there 6’1, 295lbs which was a 42″ waist for me.  

It was time for a change. I stopped drinking energy drinks and tried to clean up some of the junk food that had become my normal. I had ZERO interest in joining a gym so I started “running” (running is a great term because it doesn’t matter how fast you are – a fast walk to sprinting speeds – we are all runners!) This was a daunting task I could maybe shuffle my feet for short lengths between mile makers. I remember having a friend run with me and he would blaze ahead and come back the whole time to keep me going, it was what I really needed at the time. My competitive spirit was born. If he could do it, why couldn’t I?

Lets fast track maybe six months…I have lost some weight and am feeling great! I joined a gym…ugh! I had to. The weather wasn’t always cooperative and I didn’t want to “fall off the wagon” or get bored. If I just put on some headphones no one will even know I’m there, right? It was working, but the routine was setting in and I was doing the same stuff Monday-Friday. I wanted to be excited, I needed to be, but what, where, who?

I FOUND IT! It was always there too, was I just afraid to look? “Constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity”. What does that mean to you? It means FUN! I found something EXCITING, sure I struggled and found myself laying on the floor after workouts, but so was everyone else, EVEN the FIT people! I made new friends (that’s hard as an adult!). After a few years, I was sure this was it for me! I was in and wanted to know more, learn more and help people! I went and took a certificate course and who knew I would be where I am today!?

This is my passion. I want to help and not just the young people, the sports athletes, the college jocks, but EVERYONE. I want to make you fitter, healthier and more capable outside of the gym so you can all lead a happy, healthy, and adventurous life.  If you never thought you’d join a gym or workout in “group classes”  I hear you, I was there too.  Lets give it a try, I can’t wait to meet you!
